As another Earth Day comes to a close, and as the holiday themed Google masthead melts away, I, the decider of this blog, have been inspired to start a new category! And now for the first post for Smart Quotes…

When I think of inspirational quotes fraught with meaning and dripping with an under appreciated wit, I think of our dear president, George W. Bush. I believe this will be the first of many quotes sampled from his unique and perceptive presidency. In celebration of his staunch dedication to the environment, I’ve selected a quote highlighting his love for nature above all other diplomatic opportunities and presidential perks.

On May 7, 2006 in German newspaper Blid am Sonntag, when asked about the best moment of his presidency, W. replyed:

“I would say the best moment of all was when I caught a 7.5 pound largemouth bass in my lake. - thus speaketh George W. Bush
